This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a passionate team dedicated to supporting music educators while having the flexibility of an independent contractor position. Hours: 10-12 hours per week
Compensation: $20/hr
Reports to: CEO
Collaborates with: Director of Operations, Engagement and Outreach Coordinator

Role Overview:

The Music Teacher Guild (MTG) is seeking a creative and experienced Digital Marketing & Content Manager to lead our social media efforts and produce high-quality content that aligns with our mission to empower music educators. This role is essential to expanding our online presence and ensuring the success of our content and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:

    • Own and manage the social media calendar based on the overarching content and marketing strategy.

    • Maintain and grow MTG’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).

    • Create engaging social media posts, including images, videos, copy, and URLs, using provided templates and the content plan.

    • Prepare and present weekly reports on social media campaign performance and metrics.

  • Content Creation:

    • Write and publish blog posts that adhere to MTG’s content specifications and contribute to our educational mission.

    • Collaborate with the Engagement and Outreach Coordinator to achieve strategic communication goals.

    • Produce multimedia content, especially video, for various platforms, enhancing MTG’s visibility and engagement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a classroom music educator and/or studio music educator.

  • Proven ability to own projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to maintain and adhere to a set schedule.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience creating content specifically for music educators.

  • Mastery of content creation, particularly video production and editing.
