Connect with like-minded music educators in our member-exclusive Music Teacher Guild Community: the MTG Commons.

  • The MTG Commons is separate from all other social media platforms, accessed through the members-only MTG Commons app.

    We believe this will help us be more focused, organized, and intentional about collaboration.

    The community is designed to have three ways to interact:

    • 1:1 Messaging

    • Group Breakouts

    • General Chat Feed

    This way you can connect wit individuals, content and subject-specific groups, or all members of MTG.

    Our body of Guild Mentors serve as the group moderators, giving you unparalleled access to their expertise in a trusted environment.

    Our terms of use are robust! To be a member of the Commons, you must follow the guidelines…and we don’t hesitate to remove non-compliant participants.

  • At time of community launch, access to The Commons will be through the browser of your choice, gated with your unique login credentials.

    Once we have adequate funding, we intend to create the branded MTG Commons app, where you will be able to access easily on your mobile device.

  • The Commons are where the Guild Mentors have their exclusive breakout spaces for protected collaboration and where our groups of cohorts meet, chat, and collaborate.

    The Commons is also where all of our asynchronous content lives - from archived live streams and workshops to online course material.

    We figured if we need the functionality for these things, we may as well open it up for the entire MTG community!

  • The MTG Commons access is exclusive for Music Teacher Guild members.
