I am a NBCT in Music Education and serve as a test writer and scorer for Pearson. When I am not in the classroom, I serve my church as the Director of Music Ministry, and play professionally for various events. I have experience in band and choir, and enjoy theory and composition. Piano is my instrument of expertise.

  • I don't profess a named method, but I provide knowledge, skills, and experiences to develop my private students. I provide ear training, improvisation, history and theory along with playing music from all the periods and genres. I have participated and judged contests and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. I focus early on the basics of scales, the elements of music, and composition. I try to meet students at their level and build upon it.

  • I have a music studio outside the school system in which I have taught private piano, voice, and band instruments for 30+ years. Piano is my specialty.
