With over 20 years of industry experience and nine years of academic experience, I am a professor and composer who specializes in the field of film music. I teach and design courses on film music history, music production, and film scoring at the Academy of Art University, where I use innovative and engaging methods of instruction to inspire and educate students of various backgrounds and levels. I also collaborate with senior leadership and fellow faculty members to ensure the quality and consistency of the curriculum and the learning outcomes.

In addition to my academic role, I am a creative and passionate music composer who has produced evocative and captivating scores for Oscar and Emmy-winning projects, such as Saving Face, The Last Campaign, and Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness. I have worked with prestigious clients such as HBO, Grey Global, and Atlantic Crossing Productions, and I have expertise in music technology, music composition, and audio post-production. I am committed to creating original and impactful music that enhances the emotional and narrative power of visual media.

 
 
 

  • I generally focus on the pragmatic use of technology as both a creative platform and a teaching enhancement. I have a fairly holistic, out of the box way of combining both contemporary music technology with music education.
